Raymarine’s new Generation 2 Airmar SmartMultisensor is a real “must-have” for yacht racers and those who require accurate and sensitive log (speed through the water) data. It delivers fast, smooth and accurate speed-through-water, heel and trim, water temperature and depth data to any onboard system, regardless of brand or model.
Paired with Airmar’s clever CAST App, thenew Bluetooth-enabled DST810 Smart Multisensor can also wirelessly deliver the same detailed information to any suitable smartphone or tablet.
The DST810’s new 5Hz speed output transmit sits data 5 times per second, ensuring visibly smoother and faster information for better decision making. It also features an integrated attitude sensor tha tquickly and accurately reports heel and trim angles and comes with a simple calibration to correct for off-centre mounting.
The DST810 gives ordinary boaties access to capabilities that were, until now, only available through expensive PC-based software. These include enabling users to conduct basic and advanced heel-compensated speed calibrations and receive improved speed-through-water outputs across the speed range and, using Advanced Speed Calibration, allowing manual speed entries for multiple heel angles and up to 10 speeds.
