Position Description

ATTEST is a family owned Marine Electrical business specializing in super-yachts. They also produce their own “Seatouch” Monitoring & Control System - interfacing Power Generation, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, HVAC, and all manner of systems that make today's superyachts tick.

For this role we need your existing skills & knowledge as a NZ Registered Electrician which we can convert & develop so you become a Marine Electrical specialist.

The role is ‘on the tools’ carrying out general electrical installation and service work - as well as installing our Seatouch systems. There is also potential for advancement where you could assist our design team doing CAD drawings or PLC programming.

You will be working with our existing team on a variety of projects from our workshop based at Orams in Westhaven, Auckland City. You will be guided within the team while you learn the intricacies of the marine sector. You will work mainly from 7.00 - 3.30 but occasionally do extra hours to complete projects – but it’s OK we pay time & a half for overtime.

But on your birthday, you won’t work – that’s a paid day off on us!

A tidy vehicle, latest phone, a smart uniform & PPE are all part of the package.

In time when your skills & knowledge develop, you can fly to some of the world’s most exotic superyacht ports to make repairs or upgrade the growing fleet of yachts we support. Think South of France, Spain, USA, Pacific Islands and you get the picture.

You will be part of a great culture, where you're appreciated, encouraged, and developed - then taken out for regular team breakfasts & social events. You will also be part of a ‘Greener Future’ building the electrical propulsion & controls systems for Auckland’s two new fully electric ferries.

The marine industry suits people with a desire to learn [in time] all the various electrical systems that modern boats have. There is always something new to learn and can challenging to do.
