MAST Academy are looking to recruit a new Field Officer into our experienced and friendly team. You will be working with learners and employers to help build relationships, assess learning outcomes and support the next generation of skilled trades people. This role is listed as Auckland but may be suited as a regional based role depending on the applicant and location, we would encourage all suitable applicants to apply.
*About the role: *
As a Field Officer, your roles will include:
- Regular engagement and promotion across the wider marine, composites and technologies associated industries.
- Regular liaison with employers and learners to maintain strong relationships.
- Pastoral Care and Assessment of learners work submitted during their qualification, including identification and arrangement of required off-job learning, implementation of intervention plans for learners requiring additional support, reporting and measurement of training activities.
- Completion of basic administration tasks as required by MAST Academy processes and procedures, such as data entry of learners records into Learning Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attract, recruit, pre-qualify and enroll new learners to ensure a sustainable, relevant, qualified and diverse pool of local talent for the New Zealand marine, composites and technologies industries.
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with employers to ensure first-in-class, inclusive learning experiences and industry-relevant learning outcomes for learners.
- Maintain regular contact with learners for the purposes of maintaining a learner-centric environment and establishing learning goals, and reviewing, tracking and reporting progress.
- Provide learners with pastoral care and facilitate additional learning support to maintain learning progress.
- Carryout assessment of learners work and provide support to learner and workplace trainers to maintain consistent graduate outcomes.
- Establish and maintain relationships across the Marine, Composite and technologies industries and represent MAST Academy at career and industry events to keep abreast of industry news and innovation and identify ongoing opportunities to maintain relevancy of learner and qualification outcomes.
- Promote and contribute to a healthy and safe workplace through active involvement in MAST Academy’s processes and practices, and by complying with legislative and company guidelines and requirements.
*What skills and experience we require: *
- 5+ years’ experience in the marine, composites or technologies/trades based industry
- 5+ years’ experience in management, coaching or training roles, or similar demonstrable experience.
- Experience in an ITO, PTE, or similar training body (desirable but not essential)
- High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office products, and demonstrated experience and knowledge of CRM and/or LMS systems.
Other Special Attributes we would like you to have:
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in quality assurance systems and processes.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of TEC requirements.
- A commitment to taking an active and responsible role in maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of MAST Academy’s staff and learners.
