Position Description
Are you passionate about the future of New Zealand’s marine industry? The NZ Marine Industry Association is looking for an experienced event superstar with marketing experience to join our Events Team to assist in the management of major events like the Auckland Boat Show to showcase the marine industry in NZ. This person will be responsible for the successful marketing of the Auckland Boat Show and to assist in other senior event activities such as sponsorship support.
The role is part-time (with hours increasing leading up to and during events).
What You'll Do:
- Manage the marketing of the Auckland Boat Show and other events.
- Assist in the administration tasks required to produce a successful event.
- Deliver hands-on support around the time of the Auckland Boat Show and the NZ Millennium Cup.
- Assist with the planning and execute the sales strategy for participation at various NZ Marine events.
- Build excellent relationships with colleagues, management, exhibitors, and member companies to ensure successful outcomes for all events.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 2 years’ experience in events management, Fast Moving Consumer Goods or hospitality.
- Experience in marketing.
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with accuracy and attention to details.
- Strong and professional customer service focus.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft office.
