Position Description
R Marine Flagship is a market leader in the NZ Marine Industry offering clients a range of new Riviera luxury motor yachts, an on water brokerage sales and an extensive service facility.
The highly professional sales and service team ensures clients receive industry leading customer care, so the time they spend with us translates to quality time for them on the water.
We are looking to engage the services of a qualified and experienced Marine Electrician with experience in AC and DC systems with current valid certification.
As technology is constantly changing, we need someone that is currently working with marine systems and takes pride in their workmanship.
It can be a demanding industry, our clients have very high expectations so you will need to cope well under pressure.
Main role:
Your main role is electronic & electrical fault finding, service and install. Air-conditioning and refrigeration knowledge will be an advantage. Our preference would be someone that possess a range of complementary skills. Taking ownership of the role and having an eye for detail is very important.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in this field, with a good understanding of electrical systems
- Qualified 230 Volt Marine Electrician with experience in low voltage DC systems
Personal Attributes and Qualities:
The successful applicant in this exciting and growing industry will be well presented, have a full NZ driver's license and a keen interest in the marine industry. A high level of verbal & written communication skills are essential. You will be able to operate with a high level of autonomy which in turn requires time management skills & trustworthiness.

This position is based in Westhaven, Auckland; however we offer an on-site service to our clients so you will be working at all Auckland City Marina's, Boat parks etc.
Working Hours - 40 hours per week between 7.30am and 4pm weekdays. There will be opportunities to work overtime.
