The Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for a driven and talented finance professional to deliver on the strategic and operational objectives for Dickey Boats through the management of commercial activities spanning finance, purchasing, quoting and administration/back end systems.
The role’s core focus will be ensuring the smooth running of the commercial functions including overseeing all aspects of financial/accounting processing and reporting, quoting and purchasing. Working alongside a small commercial team, key to your success in this role will be your willingness to roll up your sleeves to complete daily financial accounting and commercial tasks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide financial and management reporting as required, including preparing budgets, forecasts and monitoring, reporting on performance and overseeing accounts administration.
- Working closely with the Sales team to manage the quoting and pricing strategy for the business
- Assist with the purchasing function across the business and all ranges of boats ensuring all purchases are carried out to the commercial procedures
Bring a commercial lens to conversations about growth and new opportunities, particularly to the management team to support informed decision-making
About you:
The ideal candidate will have a friendly and approachable style and will be flexible and tenacious with a resourceful approach with the ability to juggle multiple priorities. You may be in a finance or accountancy role looking to grow and expand your business acumen, or you may be looking to utilise your existing finance and commercial expertise in a different industry and sized business where you can make a real impact.
· An appropriate qualification in finance or a related discipline or equivalent experience
· Professional experience in financial and management accounting, coupled with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do operational finance work as part of a small commercial team
· Strong commercial acumen with the ability to advise and provide direction for a fast-growing business
· Advanced level skills in Xero, Excel, other Microsoft office applications and financial or operational systems
· Solid analytical and reporting skills
