We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team player to join our busy & ever-growing workshop in sunny Hawkes Bay.

Hawkes Bay Marine is located in Napier and has been locally owned since 1995.
We operate a full workshop offering servicing & repairs as well as fitting up of new boats and repowering new motors. We are dealers for Suzuki Outboards, Extreme Boats, Senator Boats plus have a growing retail store and showroom.

This will be a great opportunity for those wanting variety of work within a great team environment.

We are looking for both experienced or qualified outboard engine technicians as well as those wanting to start their career as an apprentice.
We would also consider experienced automotive mechanical or electrical technicians.
This may lead to opportunities to train as a Marine Service Technician and gain certifications through external training programmes.

Our ideal candidate will have:

· Technical knowledge of 2 & 4 Stroke engines
· Understanding of trailer boats systems, hardware and technologies
· Aptitude towards all things recreational boating be it mechanical, electrical or electronic
· Great problem solving & diagnostic skills
· Ability to work with others as well as alone
· Initiative & common sense
· Current drivers licence
· Physically fit.

This is a full time position, 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday-Friday with additional rostered Saturday morning work from time to time as well as possible overtime during peak season and key pieces of work.
