Haines Hunter, manufactures of one of NZ’s leading range of power boats has an employment opportunity for an Apprentice boatbuilder.

Job Description

This opportunity is suitable for a school leaver wishing to start a career in the marine industry. On acceptance into the apprenticeship training program, you will be provided with training in all aspects of composite boat building. This will involve conventional laminating processes as well as infusion and closed mold laminating methods. You will also work in a team environment that will address training in assembly and finishing of the Haines Hunter products.

Required Qualification

NCEA Level 2 or equivalent.

Personal Profile

Clean & tidy work habits.
Excellent communicator – good command English both written and oral. Disciplined approach to work.

Apprenticeship pay rates will apply.

Close to motorway and public transport.

*Hours *

Full-time position with a commitment to do overtime as required. Overtime rates apply.
