Marine Service Technician

We are looking for someone with shared values, who would like the opportunity to utilise and expand their skillset by working on a range of yachts.

Location: Based in Auckland with a workshop located on Westhaven Drive, however we attend to yachts Auckland wide and further afield (as necessary).

General Duties:

Maintenance:

· Assess the vessel and document the scope of works required

· Carry out the service/repair work deemed ‘in scope’

· Organise/manage the contractors required to carry out work deemed ‘out of scope’

Guardianship:

· Regular inspections (to ensure the safety & security of the vessel)

· Interior & exterior washdowns and detailing (to keep the vessel in top condition)

· Checking/running of systems (to ensure they are functioning correctly and to identify any potential issues early)

Deliveries:

· Assist in the planning, coordination, and crewing of the vessel, to ensure safe, timely, and efficient deliveries from point A to point B. This could include sea trails and refueling locally, as well as relocating vessels further afield

Desired Skills & Attributes:

· Prior experience within the marine industry

· Strong communication skills (to be able to liaise with clients & contractors)

· Value and foster a strong Health & Safety culture

· Certificate of Competence (ICC) or equivalent (RYA/MCA)
