Position Description

You will be responsible for leading the quality assurance function of internal and external audits as required by NZQA and relevant WDC’s. We will need you to ensure the organisation adheres to all quality management systems to ensure that MAST Academy meets NZQA requirements. As well as this, you will have overview and responsibility for moderation, consistency reviews and EERs as required by Regulatory bodies. You will build and maintain effective relationships with MAST Academy management, Hanga Aro Rau WDC, NZQA, TEC and other key stakeholders. You will also lead the company's Programme and Qualification Review/Development to ensure programmes are fit-for-purpose to learners and stakeholders.

This role would be perfect for an up-and-coming QA superstar; someone currently working within a Quality Assurance or similar role, who is looking to take the next steps in developing their career and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team of a growing company within the education sector.

*What skills and experience we require: *

  • Qualification in the marine, composite or technologies industry or relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the marine, composites, or technologies industry
  • 5+ years’ experience in management or training roles
  • Demonstratable experience in programme and resource development
  • Experience in an ITO, PTE, or similar training body (desirable)

  • Demonstrated experience and strong knowledge in quality assurance systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated experience and strong knowledge of NZQA/TEC/PTE/ITP requirements.
  • High level of literacy in Microsoft Office products, and quality management systems.
  • A commitment to taking an active and responsible role in maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of others.
